General construction services were provided to Pinelake Church in order to construct a new 42,135 square foot state of the art Student Center on Pinelake’s Reservoir Campus. This impressively designed building consists of a theater and three large student rooms, each with its own stage, which can be opened up into one expansive room via operable partitions. There is a Commons area and covered porch running the full length of the building with a wall of aluminum storefront systems separating the areas. The interior design includes exposed steel framing with acoustical wall and ceiling panels to provide the spacious yet controlled audio visual experience desired for the facility. The exterior design combines multiple veneers, including EIFS system, stacked stone, aluminum composite panels, preformed metal panels and a rain screen along the perimeter of the building at the roofline. The project also consists of an impressive landscape design, underground irrigation, expanded parking, and an outdoor baptistery with amphitheater style seating that is unlike anything else in the state.

About Project

General construction services were provided for this negotiated, design-build project in Brookhaven, MS. This new addition to an existing nursing home expanded their services to included rehabilitation. The new construction was comprised of a rehabilitation gym area, treatment room, speech room, storage areas, a bath and kitchen area, as well as a conference room. The project was completed within 4 months, including all site work, finishes, and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.

About Project

Design build services were provided for a new worship facility for the Madison Church of Christ. The new building included a welcoming narthex, open sanctuary, and fellowship hall as well as numerous classrooms for religious education, and offices. The restrooms were designed to also serve as a storm shelter. By using a pre-engineered metal building framing system and roof, complemented by stately parapet walls with EIFS cladding, we were able to keep the cost of construction at a minimum. The front portion of the building received brick veneer with EIFS cornice and accents, storefront windows, and architectural shingles. The design and construction were carefully tailored to meet the City of Madison’s high design standards while also meeting the budgetary and scheduling needs of the congregation.

About Project

Copeland and Johns, Inc. provided general construction for Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation, a new client located in the City of Byram. The project constituted Phase 1 of a multi-phase plan to add a new rehabilitation wing to the existing nursing and rehabiliation center. Phase 1 consisted of a 10,200 sf addition for 14 private bed rooms with private restrooms, a nurse’s station, utility rooms, and a large activity/dining room. The project also included the construction of a new sidewalk and paved loop road at the facility. Working in partnership with the owners, architect, and local officials, the project was completed within 8 months. Coordination with the owners’ requirements was properly planned and executed to not interrupt the operation of the existing facility.
