About Project
The focus of this project was a complete renovation of the basement and 1st-floor levels of the historical multi-purpose facility at Mississippi College, Alumni Hall. The building was constructed in 1925 and included an indoor pool, basketball court, coffee shop, security office, and conference rooms. The new design has transformed this space to give the students and faculty a gathering space anchored by Chick-Fil-A and Einstein Bros. Bagels. Additional amenities include designated spaces for the admissions offices, common study areas, and the M-Club. Architectural features of the project include exposed brick from the early 20th century and carefully selected ceilings, light fixtures, and finishes. Additionally, a monumental staircase consisting of glass and stainless-steel handrails and maple stair treads was added to connect the 1st floor with the 2nd floor. The collaboration between the owners, design team, consultants, and general contractor made this project a success that will enhance the experience for the students, faculty, and alumni at Mississippi College.
